At the beginning of the research the problem was formulated to find the ways of using specially trained dolphins for rehabilitation of people, suffering from nervous diseases, which are hardly treating by existing medical and un medical methods of treatment.

The problem offered the basic model of interaction of a man and a dolphin in biological system. Exploring how dolphin therapy affects people with various aliments was the second stage.

At the beginning, the method of adaptive bio-direction in the process of using dolphin assisted therapy for people with chronic fatigue syndrome and increased disturbance was used.

We also examined the influence of dolphin therapy on patients with neurosis. The observations motivated us to create a complex system which includes contact with dolphin, psychotherapeutic correction of relationships in the family of a patient, and changing pathological reactions on adequate forms of behavior.

We have also observed patients with infantile autism syndrome and observed changes in the ways of their functioning during the treatments at our Dolphin Assisted Therapy program.

Another group of patients was children suffering from cerebral palsy. The results were of emotional activity increases, increase of social motivations, and stimulation of various forms of behavior.

Our studies have also observed the importance of psychotherapeutic training of people taking the therapy for getting treating effects.

The following data was obtained for the first time during the sessions the dolphins involved in therapy produce acoustic signals unique to each patient and its disorder. This fact enabled us to assume that dolphin's acoustic signals contribute to the therapeutic effects in humans subjected to dolphin therapy.

After that the structure and work regime of bio-technical treatment system and rehabilitation of people was determined.
